30.01.2010 - Kitchen Sink & Hansgrohe Ordered

Morning meet up Kai Soon Aircorn sales guy at our unit to get them quote and understand our requirement. We intend to get Mistubishi Inverter System 4 for our house - 1 living hall + 3 bedrooms. Hubby give in, agreed to get me System 4 instead of System 3! Thank you hubby~ Due to we will might have bulk purchase (together with hubby's colleague), we will try to get better offer from Kai Soon! Waiting for the update...

Then, we head down to Hoe Kee at Genting Road to order the kitchen sink. We had survey since few months back and has confirmed the model & color we wanted - Blanco Silgranit Kitchen Sink. We choose greystone color that ideally match with our kitchen.

Walk around Hoe Kee but couldn't find any nice basin yet :-( semi recess basin really very limited style! Top basin design is available almost everywhere, so if you intend to get mount in/semi recess basin please do your homework as early as you can.

We continue our basin hunting at Balestier Road - Lookz Showroom. Spot this place from Julian Interior Design website. The place was really inconvenient! Not much luck at Lookz Showroom though. The brand carry by them quite standard like Jalan Besar - Pozzi, Arino, Damixa or their 'house' brand. If you are looking for unique basin design like oval shape, you can find it here. There have lots of rain shower set available here as well.

Our last stop is Hansgrohe Showroom. Going to confirm our order shower set, basin mixer, bath mixer AND the kitchen mixer! So happy that hubby agreed to buy it! ^_^

Honestly, we felt the owner take care the house very well. Though the house look disorder, but at least it's clean, can tell the owner pay attention on hygiene - especially judge by the toilet condition.

The house have too much stuffs causing the 'mess' and feel so congested, overall we satisfied with the condition & layout of the house :) We will transform the house to be our dream house!

25.01.2010 - Collect Key~

Hooray! Today is the day~ HDB completion date - collecting our house key! So happy! Finally... after waiting for more than 4 months since September 2009, finally we gotten our house! Thanks God lead us to this house :)

Settle our utility application and fire insurance at HDB Hub. We are going to apply for POSB Everyday card so that we could pay our utility bill by using POSB Everyday Card, which entitle for 1% rebate for whatever we spend. And it's useful when you do grocery shopping at Carrefour too! 1% rebate sound like too little? It will accumulate more when you spend and pay often... why waste it, might as well make use of the 1% rebate!


After settle the property tax (cost us $154.63 per year), finally we got our key from the owner!
Let's proceed to our 'official house' now!

23.01.2010 - Hansgrohe

Today went to Bendeemer Road - Genova to check out basin and tap. We need to look for Semi-Recess basin where not many places available and our basin length shouldn't longer than 500m, due to our limited space in our MBR(master bathroom) *sob sob* We saw few design which are 'acceptable, and is what hubby wanted, the basin depth measurement passed! We noted down the model and snap photo to show Mr.K, our ID before confirm the purchase. After that, we proceed to Jalan Besar - Poh Joo to check more design. But their semi-recess design are super limited at :S, check out their rain shower too, but still couldn't make any decision yet.



Hubby suggested we head down to Mohamed Sultan - Hansgrohe Showroom. We took a bus down from Jalan Besar to Clarke Quay and walk down to Mohamed Sultan. Hubby is my 'GPRS' system :P - base on the printout map we managed to find the place!



Hansgrohe showroom have 2 levels. 1st floor is mainly designer series - "Axor" while 2nd floor belongs to Hansgrohe general series. We 'wowing' through all Axor series - beautiful! What is Axor? Axor series is a style design by a designer name Patricia Urquiola. Her creation are so unique, vivid and sensuous. The prices is 'vivid' too! :p

Then, we proceed to 2nd floor to check out Hansgrohe series. Hansgrohe is a style design by 2 designers name Andreas Haug and Tom Schonherr. They specialize in fleeting trend and timeless design for higher value of the products. And their creativity have been recognized with numerous design awards. We saw their rain shower, kitchen mixer and shower/basin mixer. After viewing & discussing, we decided to get their rain shower, shower and basin mixer. Love the rain shower design very much! And we believe it will blend in very well with our master bathroom style ^_^



We will only purchase items here just for our MBR, as we had bought 1 full set for our Common Bathroom from Universal Union - good deal for that common bathroom shower set :)
* please take note there's no shower set available at Hansgrohe showroom, you have to purchase individual items

Hubby still considering whether to get the kitchen mixer as well, due to the price. But I love it very much! The kitchen mixer look so trendy and most importantly is the functionality that I'm looking for! *finger cross* :p



We will have another trip down to Hansgrohe showroom again to confirm our order ^_^
