23.01.2010 - Hansgrohe

Today went to Bendeemer Road - Genova to check out basin and tap. We need to look for Semi-Recess basin where not many places available and our basin length shouldn't longer than 500m, due to our limited space in our MBR(master bathroom) *sob sob* We saw few design which are 'acceptable, and is what hubby wanted, the basin depth measurement passed! We noted down the model and snap photo to show Mr.K, our ID before confirm the purchase. After that, we proceed to Jalan Besar - Poh Joo to check more design. But their semi-recess design are super limited at :S, check out their rain shower too, but still couldn't make any decision yet.



Hubby suggested we head down to Mohamed Sultan - Hansgrohe Showroom. We took a bus down from Jalan Besar to Clarke Quay and walk down to Mohamed Sultan. Hubby is my 'GPRS' system :P - base on the printout map we managed to find the place!



Hansgrohe showroom have 2 levels. 1st floor is mainly designer series - "Axor" while 2nd floor belongs to Hansgrohe general series. We 'wowing' through all Axor series - beautiful! What is Axor? Axor series is a style design by a designer name Patricia Urquiola. Her creation are so unique, vivid and sensuous. The prices is 'vivid' too! :p

Then, we proceed to 2nd floor to check out Hansgrohe series. Hansgrohe is a style design by 2 designers name Andreas Haug and Tom Schonherr. They specialize in fleeting trend and timeless design for higher value of the products. And their creativity have been recognized with numerous design awards. We saw their rain shower, kitchen mixer and shower/basin mixer. After viewing & discussing, we decided to get their rain shower, shower and basin mixer. Love the rain shower design very much! And we believe it will blend in very well with our master bathroom style ^_^



We will only purchase items here just for our MBR, as we had bought 1 full set for our Common Bathroom from Universal Union - good deal for that common bathroom shower set :)
* please take note there's no shower set available at Hansgrohe showroom, you have to purchase individual items

Hubby still considering whether to get the kitchen mixer as well, due to the price. But I love it very much! The kitchen mixer look so trendy and most importantly is the functionality that I'm looking for! *finger cross* :p



We will have another trip down to Hansgrohe showroom again to confirm our order ^_^

17.01.2010 - Home Tiles~

Met our ID today to choose our house tiles. So excited! The tiles supplier we going to is Hafary Private Limited. Suppose to go Soon Bee Huat, but our ID said Hafary is more ideal ..


We spent more than 2 hours to choose our Kitchen floor tiles, and 2 Toilet wall + floor tiles. Too many selections till our eyes went @_@. End up we asked Our ID to guide us to choose the right tiles to match our home design.. this is the benefit of having ID!



Initially wanted to choose wallpaper tiles, but end up we let go. We found that wallpaper tiles is nice, but the trend may outdated very soon ... thus we forgo it. Our tiles for the 2 toilets are totally different, base on our home concept design ^_^ Love the tiles that suggested by our ID!

Confirmed our hob & hoods today! Hubby managed to hunt for 1 cheapest deal near Alexandra Village shop houses - Aik Leong Electrical.

We had been comparing more than 4 different places including City Gas, but Aik Leong gave us the most attractive rate! Could be their stock quantity ordered from Rinnai more than the rest, thus they can offer best deal.

Today met hubby for dinner, and saw him carry 1 big box (heavy!) wrapped with gift wrapper. Fishy! Asked him what was that and he kept secret. Haha........ Saw the wrapper from OG, so obviously he bought 'kitchenware'!

Finally managed to guess what's that! Is J.A.HENCKELS Cutlery - Knife Set! Haha! Hubby able to find the model we wanted from OG Chinatown branch, initially saw last piece from OG Orchard but it has been unwrapped by customer thus we never buy. Asked the sales to call us if stock in but no call so far, believe the stock no longer available. Lucky that hubby manage to find one last piece - new set from OG Chinatown. *muaks!

The cutlery set come with different kind of style - fruit knife, boning knife, paring knife, peeling knife, utility knife & sharpener - and come with 1 black color block! Love the block in black color instead of wood ^_^ We need not to buy 'chopping knife' & scissor as sister gave us a set as Christmas gift! Yeah~ Save $$!

Hubby checked HDB InfoWeb transaction today and found our unit is up in the website! Hmm, transaction in Simei not that cheap though, and guess what - the latest transaction where closed in Jan 2010 should be higher, not only in Simei. All area in Singapore are so expensive!

Yeah, awaiting for our house to be done soon. 1 more week to collect our key and renovation start!

Guess which unit belongs to us? :P

08.01.2010 - La Gourmet + Tefal

Went down to OG Orchard today to get our La Gourmet cookware. Reserved 3-pcs senior set cookware from the promoter last week (ran out of stock). Much cheaper compare than usual! Grab!

And we bought the weekly promotion Tefal as well - Thermo Spot Non Stick Saute Pan. The package come with 2 size, 24cm and 28cm size. Yeah~ Gotten in cheap cheap price! ^_^

Went to Expo today to check out the Living Home Exhibition - end up disappointed us again! The exhibitors unchanged since the past 2 exhibitions we went! Gosh......... cheater! They only change the exhibition NAME but actually all booth are the same. *piak piak*

Good that there's still other exhibition we can go to, which is the Metro Expo Sales. We planned to check out what good deal can get. Walked around and managed to bought few stuffs ^_^ Luminarc glassware set and Microban Cutting Board.

Bought our washing machine today! Finally found the cheapest rate, after comparing 4 different places, Parisilk won the deal~ Confirmed order directly through Mayer ^_^

The person in charge - Johnny is a very 'fast deal' person. You name the price, he try to deal with the distributor and quote you the best price he could. So lucky that today is the last day of Mayer had their year end promotion, listen - is FURTHER discount! Thus we got the lowest price! So happy... got our washing machine less than our expectation budget, which helps us a lot in saving more cash!

Today is eve of New Year! Left office earlier as usual and meet hubby at Bugis Junction. He has been walked from Bugis BHG to OG to compare WMF utensils prices. And guess what! He found there's a sales by BHG for the design we wanted.

We compared 3 series, Porto, Denver and Boston. Initially wanted to get Boston, but after standing there for more than half an hour - twisting and turning around the utensils :P We decided to get Denver series. Can't tell why, is just the design caught our eyes :P Luckily we get on that day as the price will back to normal the next day and it is the last set left on the shelf only!! *sweat -_-'

You have to go to the shopping outlet to see which design you like, of course - different series come with different designs, and different price range too! The series we bought consider the lowest end... :P
